Local small businesses, particularly restaurants and other hospitality businesses, are fundamental to building a thriving city. In February the Seattle Restaurant Alliance conducted a survey of restaurant and bar operators such as yourself to gauge how the loss of the total compensation credit was affecting your business. The results of that survey spoke of the struggles our industry is facing with declining guests, lower revenue and compressed profit margins. These results became a powerful tool in our discussions with elected leaders as they consider additional taxes and regulations that affect our industry.
Our February survey was so successful we’ve decided to make it a regular event. Our goal is to track the health of hospitality businesses in Seattle by hearing from you directly and sharing that story with elected leaders and the public. To accomplish this goal we need your help.
