Many thanks to Ghostfish Brewing Company for hosting the Seattle Restaurant Alliance May meeting.

We were happy to be joined by Jane Hartle from Adesso Capital, who shared information about a tax credit that restaurants can receive on employee tips. To learn more about this opportunity email Jane Hartle at jane@adessocapital.com

We were also joined by Brenna Gould from John Hancock Retirement, who shared retirement benefits you can offer your employees through the Washington Hospitality Association. For questions email Paul Neuner at paul.neuner@nextretirementsolutions.com

We had an engaging panel on human resources with Charlie Anthe of Moshi Moshi Sushi, Victoria Gronley of Elliott Bay Brewing Co. and Destiny Sund of The Confectional. Human resources is a complex topic especially for smaller operators that cannot afford many resources and we were happy to lead an educational discussion for owners and operators to learn from others how they handle hiring, disciplinary actions, and other employment topics. We are excited to have Catharine Morisset join us next month to continue the discussion with a presentation on employee handbooks.

Next SRA meeting:
